Table grapes are consumed fresh, there are seed and seedless varieties. Other factors as important as their flavor are their productivity, shipping and storage tolerance and shelf life.
Table grapes can belong to several Hybrid genus, but Vitis vinifera is by far the most impotant one.
Harvest is determined mainly by the fruit appearance, incluiding color, sugar content and size. When fruit reaches ripeness, the stems holding the bunch change from green to a wood or straw color.
Grapes from Perlette variety, are the first ones in the season. It is translucent-green seedless with almost round berries. Its skin is thin and soft, although its pulp is crunchy and juicy with a distinct sweet flavor. Bunches are long and compact.
Sugra One is distinguish by its bright-green ovoid berries. This is a seedless variety with a sutil, swet and slightly aromatic taste. With a caracteristic crunchy flesh and thick skin. Bunches are big, conic and semi-compact.
This variety is very popular for its broad use range in the elaboration of raisins, juices, syurps and preserves among others.
Flame is an early variety that resulted mainly from the cross between varieties Thompson seedless and Cardinal. Flame barries are sedles, small to medium in size with an intense red coloring; with a very sweet flavor and firm texture. The bunches are not to big nor too tight.
Red Globe grapes are outstanding for hteir big bunches and great berry size. This seeded variety has a sweet tempting flavor, once the bunch is ripe it presents with a dark red color, slightly brigh. It has a firm and consistent texture.
Crimson is a seedles variety with a sweet balanced taste. Its berries are juicy and elongated with a deep red color. This variety is characterized for its firm and cruchy flesh, as well as for its exceptional shelf life.
Black seedless presents in medium and large size bunches loaded with black berries. With a medium density skin very well adhere to a firm and crunchy flesh. Black seedless pulp have a lighter color than the skin and a sweet flavor that vaguely resembles that to a plum.
