Background
Fundacion Alta started as a gratitude act from the founders of Grupo Alta, who took the decision of returning to the farm workers, through the creation of Fundacion, what this people they had given upon coming to work year after year to their fields.
It all initiated only with a doctor who attended the workers free of charge, but we didn´t count with the proper infrastructure and visits were every 15 days providing medicines according to their needs. Also sports and social events were organized; all this was put toghether dicrectly by Grupo Alta, as the founders already had the interest of doing something further for their workmen.
It wasn´t until 1999 when Fundacion Alta arose as an organization to aid the farm workers. The earnings of the dining rooms and mini-market stores located at Grupo Alta farms were destined to improve the installations to benefit the workmen; such as: the lighting, sports areas, all this was done at the farms, but also Fundacion worked toward the origin towns of these people by improving the comunication channels and refining paths and streets. Also regarding the health department by supporting medical dispensaries.
By January, 2004 it was constituted as a private aid institution called: “FUNDACION ALTA I.A.P.” conformed with a board presided by Ing. Alan Ricardo Aguirre Ibarra for the collect funds and guide it to comply with its mision.
It was at this time when the initial idea of the founders became tangible, that is to say that a Medical Clinic was built at the farm provided with alternative medicines, homeopaty, Rife therapy, neural therapy, healing areas and dental care… And so began, at national level, the search of a capable Doctor with a service spirit and elated with the idea of working with farm people. This is how we came to have the support of two Doctors and a Dentist.
Mini-Stores were created and the qualiy of the Dining rooms was incremented to provide a better service, more healthy and fitting for the people, all this became a reality as well.
To create a human environment of support and permanent improvement Fundacion Alta I.A.P. counts with two Social Workers, that being close to the people every day reality they can contirubute to their development and growth with a bettter undertanding.
