Grape harvest season 2011 is over

A couple of days ago, we finished out grape harvest. As we mentioned at the beginning of the season, the highlight of this cycle was the quality of the grapes in most varieties. This season, the weather played a positive role and did not cause any mishap or delays during the harvest period. After hard work, our laborers from the south of Mexico have begun to withdraw from our fields to their place of origin to spend time with their families, while our year long employees are preparing to take a well deserved vacation. Without them, we couldn’t have had the results we wanted from the beginning.

In a few weeks we will begin with the planting of melons and vegetables, which represents a new beginning in the cycle of our agricultural activities. Although the fall season does not represent the majority of our business, we give it the same effort as we give to grapes for the best possible quality.

We are also preparing for our pecan harvest and we’re excited to see the results of our big investment in the pecan processing plant.

Started with our 2011 Grape harvest season

We recently started our grape harvest and it’s looking like a great year on quality, but most of all in taste. Usually the first couple of days are a battle with sugar but the fruit is maturing naturally and evenly. The sugars are up there and the taste its better than it’s ever been.

We should be ready to start flames later this week and superiors by the end of the month. We got some really early red globes as well, maybe even in may…

This is looking like the best year ever in quality and we are really excited about it!

We will keep you posted and we will upload some videos in the next few days… stay tuned!
